Glup Privacy Policy — Horizon Designs

Overview

Glup is an iOS fitness app made by Horizon Designs LTDA (“Horizon”, “we”, “our”). It is built so that we never receive your data: there is no account, no login, no Horizon server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Everything you record in Glup is stored on your iPhone, and it stays under your control.

This policy explains exactly what Glup stores, what it reads from and writes to Apple Health, and which device permissions it asks for.

What Glup stores on your device

Glup keeps the information you enter in a local database on your iPhone:

Workouts: routines, exercises, sets, weights, reps, rest times and session notes
Body measurements: weight, body fat, muscle and visceral fat readings, and notes
Water intake and your daily goal
Self-care items, their schedules and your check-ins
Preferences such as your slime’s name and reminder times

None of this is sent to Horizon or to anyone else. If iCloud Backup is turned on for your iPhone, this data is included in your device’s backup to your own iCloud account, under Apple’s privacy terms. We have no access to your iCloud account or backups.

Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit)

Glup integrates with Apple Health only after you grant permission, and you can change or revoke that permission at any time in the Health app (Profile → Apps → Glup) or in iOS Settings.

Data Glup reads from Health:

Heart rate, to show your live BPM during a workout and to end a rest period when your heart rate recovers (requires an Apple Watch or compatible AirPods)
Active energy burned, to show calories for a workout
Body mass (weight) and body fat percentage, to keep your body history in sync

Data Glup writes to Health:

Workouts, with their active energy
Body mass, body fat percentage and lean body mass, when you log a weigh-in

How we handle health data:

Health data is used only to provide Glup’s fitness features on your device.
It is never sent to Horizon or any server, and never used for advertising, marketing, data mining or profiling.
It is never sold, rented or shared with third parties.
Health data is not stored in iCloud by Glup; it remains in Apple Health on your device, subject to Apple’s own Health privacy protections.

Camera, photos and Face ID

Glup does not use the camera, does not access your photo library and does not use Face ID. It does not store photos of you.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Glup schedules local reminders on your iPhone for the things you set up: water, self-care items and weigh-ins, at the times you choose. During a workout, it also schedules one notification for the end of each rest period, so you know when to start your next set while the app is in the background. These reminders are created on the device; no push notification service or server is involved. You can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.

Widgets and Live Activities

Glup’s widgets and Live Activities (for example, the workout and rest timer on the Lock Screen) read the same data stored on your device. Nothing is transmitted to show them.

Feedback and support

If you send feedback from inside Glup, the app opens your device’s Mail app with a message addressed to hello@horizondesigns.com.br. The message includes the text you write plus the Glup version, iOS version and iPhone model, so we can reproduce problems. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send. We use these emails only to reply to you and fix issues.

App Store ratings

Glup may show Apple’s standard rating prompt. This is handled by Apple; Glup does not see whether or how you rate it.

Deleting your data

App data: deleting Glup from your iPhone permanently removes everything it stored. Existing iCloud backups follow your iCloud settings.
Health data: workouts and measurements Glup wrote to Apple Health stay in Health until you delete them there (Health → Profile → Apps → Glup → Delete All Data from Glup).
Emails: to have us delete feedback emails you sent, write to hello@horizondesigns.com.br.

Your rights

Because Glup keeps your data on your device, you have direct control over it at all times. Under the Brazilian LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados) and similar laws elsewhere, you may also contact us about any personal data we hold, which is limited to emails you choose to send us.

Children

Glup is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If Glup’s handling of data changes, for example if optional iCloud sync is added, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date above before that version is released.
